In the recently shown Alice In Wonderland, one of the important characters is actually a cat, a Cheshire Cat to be exact. This cat helps Alice get out of situations that were too sticky for her to handle. The cat is even one of the first character Alice encounters when she gets back to her Wonderland. But at that time, Alice cannot understand at that time what the cat was talking about, but nevertheless, this grinning Cheshire Cat helps Alice get out of difficult situations. The Cat even helps out the Mad Hatter, and if it weren’t for this beautiful grinning Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter may well have been dead and he wouldn’t be able to help Alice and in turn, Alice would not have been able to help the White Queen, and the Red Queen will then continue to rule her reign of hatred and fear. This Cheshire Cat is certainly very interesting, and one often wonders what it is this cat grins about all the time. Could it be the knowledge that he (or is it a “she”?) is very much central to Alice’s story and that a lot of things depended on her? Could it be the fact that without the Cheshire Cat, the story of Alice would have a different ending?
