When it comes to clothing, men often gravitate towards the neutral colors. Blacks, whites and greys are common choices. Dark and very light shades of blue, as well as cream, are frequent alternatives. Moreover, men being men, they often stick to their tried and tested combination when it comes to fashion. People in the corporate world or in government, for example, tend to choose colors akin to their uniform colors to wear outside work! While men may not hesitate to wear a pair of neutral colored designer cufflinks, they often think twice about wearing a light orange tie.
Men need to break out of their fashion shells. There are millions of options readily available online and at the malls. It’s a shame not to try them out. Granted, for someone who has been wearing the staid black suit and white silk shirt most of his life, it may feel like a big risk to wear a yellow and red patterned tie. The journey to a more colorful sense of fashion begins with a step, rather than a leap. It is advisable to start with solid colored ties. Patterns can be much trickier. The light orange tie is a perfect first step – fairly neutral but with a bit of oomph. It will go well with any neutral shirt.
People, especially the men, need to endeavor to step out of their comfort zone and wear something different. Variety adds spice to a simple life. It would be a shame to miss out on all the fun just because of a slight fear of trying out new and colorful things.
