Navy-olive extra long silk tie is the epitome of manhood. No man would want floral patterns or cartoon characters on his tie. The challenge is to try and be stylish and fashionable without looking effeminate.
It is really ironic that neckties belong to the Y-species and yet most ties that are sold in department stores have designs that seem to cater the female crowd. There are only a few exceptions and extra long blue ties are some of them.
Partly, the reason behind is the fact that, still putting on accessories are not quite inherent in men. Essentially, mean focuses on function and not on aesthetics. They do not have the penchant for the surface level because they had the luxury not to. Women back then has to lure over men. Men’s participation is active; he is the one searching for the perfect mate so he does not need to appear perfect to women.
Fast-forward to the 21st century, most traditional men still feels the same about fashion. They don’t think that dressing up is necessary because they are not supposed to please women in terms of physical appearances because they feel that they are the one’s who is supposed to be choosing. However, a recent study proves to show otherwise. The researchers found out that women are now becoming more demanding when it comes to men’s physical appearances, too. It only goes to show that women, nowadays, are also choosing their men instead of the other way around.
If that is the case, men should also make the effort on dressing up. Neckties aren’t enough. Try wearing gold cufflinks on your shirts, too.
