The Three Wise Monkeys preach a very simple yet very helpful motto – See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil. Easier said than done, no doubt. People like to talk, and definitely, there will be many times when one is tempted to talk ill of others, particularly if those people are really irritating. This can often be seen in the office. People talk ill of other people, and this may be unavoidable since working in the office for nine to five, meeting the same people day in and day out, that can be a real formula for a conflict. The more people work closely, the more likely it is that they will find fault in each other. Sometimes, this is just a way of letting steam, and if you think about it, there might even be some wisdom in it. Instead of clashing with the person you are annoyed with, you just talk to your friend about it and the next meeting, you may have already forgotten the source of your annoyance. If this is the case then speaking evil about other people is sort of justified. The other two dictums are not as easily controllable. Sometimes you accidentally hear a conversation or you see something, and it is too late to control it.
