Did you ever notice how the NFL players clean up after a big game? On the field, they are warriors, with mouth guards, helmets and paint on their cheeks. Later in the interviews they are transformed; clean, polished and sharp. Some of the veterans are post game analysts and are instantly recognizable in the crowd of non-descript sports presenters. These guys are always head to toe style.
Being men of means, they usually have designer suits and plenty of bling, sometimes overstated but always a treat for the eye. Some of them even sport old school hats or scarves, they know how to accessorize and they do it well. I like the nod to the eras gone by of gentlemen who always wore suits and hats and took pride in their appearance.
Another thing I notice is their shirts, always sharp and cufflinks are essential to enhance the look. Style like that insists on cufflinks. So if you have a football loving man in your life and he already has the jersey, the socks, and the inevitable baseball hat, then why not mix it up and give him a way to emulate the players’ style off the pitch? Let him show his support in a classier way. The NFL cufflinks (such as the 1966 Commemorative Super Bowl cufflinks) might be the only way you can persuade him to try the look while at the same time pledging his allegiance to his favorite team!
